Happy Birthday to Us!

We turned eight months old yesterday but we were so busy napping or playing or eating that we forgot to update our blog!

We are not kittens anymore at cat shows and we don't know what that is going to be like. We don't understand why we can't be kittens anymore because we are still so very cute!

Today we put mommy to work making us food. She made almost 23 pounds of yummy turkey for us but she had to stop because some of the turkey was frozen. We were not allowed to supervise but Foxy was. She got in the way and mommy kept yelling at her so I guess it was good that we stayed on her bed and slept.

Over the weekend we had company! There was a big party on Friday and we were not invited, but then Saturday a bunch of people came over to see how incredibly cute we were.

Oh wait. You mean....the party, all those people, that was not about us? Well, never mind then. We didn't like the dogs anyway so hmph.

Showtime! (Day 2 even though it's Monday)

Who is St Patrick and why does he turn everything green???

We are home from Monroeville and have taken a few naps today.

Yesterday's judges were not as smart as Saturday's judges. They were all giving the good ribbons to blue girls, but in most of the rings it was NOT ONE OF US. This made mommy unhappy. One judge gave the little ruddy with the weird fur a couple of the good ribbons too and the humans were all confused. The good ribbons are blue, black and brown. If there are more than two in the ring, orange is OK, too. The other ruddy got some orange ones and Truly got three brown ones. Maddie got the other one. We learned that the yellow ribbon is NOT good.

Callie, the other blue cat that came with us, got a ribbon yesterday, from the same judge who gave Maddie one. So she got points too.

Kathy has a kitten called Fiona who is cute but not as cute as we are, and she got lots of ribbons including some big purple ones. Kathy's cats all got lots of toys too, so she was giving toys to US! So, we came home with 5 new toys! We liked the glitter ball hanging from the long boingy thing.

Showtime! (Day 1)

We had to wait for mommy to get back from dinner because we can't get the laptop out of the case and type on it. She went to dinner with a bunch of people including our mom (we have so many moms!) but our sister didn't go. Supposedly they had fun.

So here we are in a place called Monroeville and our sister is here, and the blue cat that came with us when mommy first saw us, but she is not in our class, just our sister and two ruddy kittens. One has really weird fur and the other was just ruddy. Mommy and Kathy thought the one with the weird fur was cute but I bet not as cute as we are. She didn't get any points at all because the judges liked the other ruddy better. But all of us blue girls were getting points. YAY US! BLUE POWER!! We are the best and maybe not all judges are dumb because they noticed! So after one day the order is Maddie best and then Trixie and Truly tied for second and then the ruddy with the normal fur.

NEWS FLASH....NEWS FLASH...NEWS FLASH....NEWS FLASH

Maddie got a ribbon! She was 5th best in ring 6 which was worth a lot of points and points are good. If someone gets 100 points they get to be Best Somali in the Region! Foxy has 100 points.

Our sister is in a different region, though. We think maybe her region is better.

EvilTrixie Strikes Again!

We went to a cat show this weekend. Kathy got these big cages for us so we didn't have to go in a carrier. It was a little scary but we got used to it. Well, then Trixie had to use the litterbox on the way home so it wasn't as cozy after that.

Mommy is happy and EvilTrixie has a big swelled head now because she won TWO ribbons and one judge said she was "stunning".

Kathy was showing her household pets. She had Fiona, Sadie and Sam. There were 11 household pets in the show and they only have 10 ribbons so in each ring one cat got a toy instead of a ribbon. The toys were not worth points but the humans liked them, I think. In one of the rings yesterday, Sam got a toy instead of a ribbon.

I was asleep in the nice soft fleecy bed so they were playing with Trixie on mommy's table and Trixie wondered if Kathy had better toys, so she walked over to Kathy's table and checked them out. She decided she wanted the new toy that Sam got so she took it and wouldn't give it back. So Mommy had to go buy Sam another toy and Trixie got us something fun to play with. Then she wouldn't share but eventually I got a turn. It is a piece of some sort of fur hanging on a curly string. That sounds boring I guess, but we liked it, especially Trixie.

Then today she jumped on the floor because she thought Mommy had baby food there.

So she is still EvilTrixie, I am still tired, and Gigi is such a grouch!

Here We Goo Again...

Just when we thought it was safe to take a snooze, here comes Mommy to wake us up and rub goo on our bellies! She skipped two days so we thought this silly experiment was over! No such luck. We smell like pina coladas again!

Day 3 of the Goo Experiment

I have commandeered the girls' blog.

They had ther third rubdown with MegaTek earlier and their little bellies feel sort of soft and velvety, not like a "tacky bald" Sphynx (as opposed to the Sphynxes that feel more like velvet or suede) so maybe there is some growth.

I realized that I blew the experiment. I should have made one kitten be the "control" and rubbed her belly with a placebo (not sure what I'd have used for that...) and had the other get the MegaTek, and then compared the results. Oh, well! It's too late now, and they have a show next weekend so some progress would be very helpful.

More Goo

We were just rudely roused from one of our many naps to have more goo rubbed on onr bellies and now we smell like pina coladas.

We are no hairier today than we were yesterday.
